Our more traditional executive coaching programmes focus on building a highly personalised experience dependent on the needs of the coaches and the business. They may include elements such as tailored 360 interviews, psychometrics, in-situ coaching/observation and working with the wider team if appropriate.

1 to 1 Executive Coaching

A typical coaching journey

Programmes may also include additional elements such as tailored 360 interviews, psychometrics, in-situ coaching/observation and working with the wider team if appropriate

  • We’ll send some helpful reading to stimulate reflective thinking about your strengths, desires, strategies, ambitions, areas to develop – all things you might want to talk through with a coach.

We’ll arrange a call to discuss your personality preferences, learning styles and goals and then recommend one or two coaches for you.

We’ll send coach profiles so you can see their background and experience

We’ll set up virtual chemistry sessions to make sure you ‘click’ and to help you finalise your choice

  • You will be told in advance how many sessions/hours of coaching have been agreed for you – usually 4-6 sessions initially. Before your first session, give some thought to your priorities and challenges, what support you need and your level of commitment. We’ll send a template to help you.

During session 1, you and your coach will start co-creating your programme, agreeing how you work together, the structure and content of your coaching, defining measures of success and identifying any support you may need

You and your coach will agree the frequency and length of sessions – most coaching is virtual, either using Zoom (or equivalent) or by telephone but face to face sessions may be agreed between coach and coachee.

  • 360 feedback from your line manager, peers, direct reports and customers creates more self-awareness and a better understanding of your impact in the business. This is useful input for checking goals and agreeing activities to embed learning.

Involve your line manager for part of an early session, to understand their expectations and ambitions for you and how they may support you. It gives you and your coach an opportunity to get real clarity on business needs, focus and priorities

Most ‘real change’ happens between sessions as you try out new things – together with your coach, you’ll work through your learning agenda, reflecting on your results and progress and making adjustments

  • Your final session is an opportunity to celebrate progress, reflect on your successes and plan the next steps of your development journey.

A check-in with your line manager (where appropriate) to gain their feedback and observations on your progress.

Set a diary date to reconnect with your coach in 3 months time to review the changes, realign your goals and identify what further support you may need.
